New LCD - it Just Works (tm) with Linux

The new LCD arrived yesterday, a Hyundai L90D+. For anyone considering an
LCD, I highly recommend it, the specs are good & the picture is bootiful.
Next to the NEC Multisync CRT (which isn't crap by any means), it makes
the CRT display look a bit mushy.

After hooking up the hardware, I boot
up, reconfigure my xorg.conf file with the fglrxconfig utility from ATI
and restart X. Happily, the dual screen setup Just Worked. I had to tweak
the xorg.conf file a bit to get the xrandr extension working, but other
than that it's just working, 3D and everything. :) (I'm still having
issues with 3D rendering in games, still working on that)

The really cool thing is that KDE puts another KDE desktop on the 2nd
monitor. It has its own theme, icons & toolbar settings. So I don't have
to choose between my two favorite things anymore, but there's more to
color coordinate. (Oh, the pain). Ooh, much eye candy.
